Movado Esperanza 606044 Men’s Watch: classy with a touch of color

A touch of gold adds some color to the class.

Movado’s Esperanza 606044 men’s watch adds a touch of color to an instant classic. This two-tone stainless steel watch is elegantly simple with a nearly blank, black, “museum” dial; but also bold with gold-colored hands, the Movado noon dot, and wristband accents. It gives the impression that the wearer either knows exactly what time it is, or is secure enough not to need to be so exact.

The Esperanza 606044 sports a scratch resistant sapphire dial window. Its clean case is 1.5 inches in diameter and a quarter-inch in thickness, and the watch’s face is about 1.25 inches wide. The two-tone stainless steel, vertical-linked bracelet — colored silver with gold accents — is a half inch wide and features a jewelry clasp. It has a stationary bezel and its movement mechanism is Swiss quartz. This men’s watch is water resistant up to 99 feet, good for dunks but not swims.

This is a watch for the guy who wants something simple and minimalist, but doesn’t mind (or even wants) a little color to draw some eyes to it every now and then. The Movado Esperanza 606044 Men’s Watch retails for $1195, comes with a two-year limited manufacturer’s warranty and can be purchased through authorized Movado dealers.
